Help Port Arthur PD and TBSAR
Hurricane Rita devastates Port Arthur Texas and displaces both Port Arthur PD as well as TBSAR (Texas Bloodhound SAR).
Due to Hurricane Rita many members of both Port Arthur PD and TBSAR (Texas Bloodhound SAR)have been displaced and are in need of our assistance. TBSAR consists primarily of LE handlers who have provided instruction to many K9 teams across the nation in addition to search support to other teams in Texas.
Mark Holmes has worked long hours with the PD and has been unable to answer phone calls and emails and it is disheartening to constantly recount the destruction that has occurred to his home and in his community. He is fine however tired post hurricane.
I personally have worked very closely with this team and consider them family. I would appreciate all help you may offer. It breaks my heart to see the destruction and know my friends are some of the victims of these hurricanes. There are so many colleagues of ours in LA, Miss., and TX. Please help the LE, SAR, and
Fire personnel who give so much of themselves every day of the year. I received a taste of the fear a hurricane brings with the evacuation in Houston and I also felt the compassion of many in this field as they wished us Houstonians well and offered homes and shelter for our pets. You all have huge hearts and such
incredible compassion for others. Please help us help our brothers and neighbors.
