Greater Houston Search Dogs is a 501(C)(3) volunteer not-for-profit search dog
organization on call 24 hours a day to assist law enforcement and emergency
service agencies in locating lost or missing persons. We are committed to
training and education in order to provide efficient dogs and handlers to the
community. We believe in the use of positive reinforcement in the training of
our dogs. We do not work with aggressive animals, only those that are "people
friendly." If you have a missing person
emergency please:
- Contact law enforcement immediately.
- For missing children contact the Laura Recovery Center
Foundation:
(281) 482-5723
- Contact Greater Houston Search Dogs:
Susan Martinez: (832)
524-6838
- Protect any personal scent items of the missing person from
being touched by anyone else before the dogs arrive. Insist that the
dog handlers collect the scent articles.
- Start an organized, coordinated search procedure as soon as
possible. The shorter the time to start the better the chances of
favorable results. Feel free to contact us if you have any
questions.
